John McAnulty was born in a not so picturesque part of rural Victoria. From an early age, he demonstrated an interest in art, showcasing his innate talent in various creative endeavours. Today, John is an artist based in Melbourne.
He has participated in a number of exhibitions including the Camberwell Rotary Art Show, the Mornington Peninsula Regional Art Show, the Bayside Art Show, and the Mentone and Mordialloc Art Group show (MMAG) where he won the People’s Choice Award.
John McAnulty has also undertaken some commissions for private individuals as well as providing the artwork for an “up and coming” rock band’s first album.
John Mac's artistic repertoire is marked by a continuing engagement with representational art. His creative exploration extends across various subjects, with an emphasis on the figure in the landscape and landscapes more generally. And portraiture is become a significant facet of John’s artistic endeavours where he hopes, through careful attention to detail, he brings his subjects to life. |
