"King of the Hill" 1/50 by Billy Nye

We will be auctioning this new work, the hand-coloured lino cut, "King of the Hill" 1/50 by our very own Queen of Suburbia, Billy Nye. We are delighted to have this stunning piece of art available for you to own.

Billy is a talented and very popular local artist who makes the ordinary look extraordinary. She sees beauty in the urban landscape. Street signs, rooftops, lamp posts and iconic suburban signage take on a new energy in Billy's capable hands.

Her vibrant local work is incredibly sought after and stirs familiar memories and warm emotions about the life we live in Frankston and on the Mornington Peninsula. Billy's work hangs in many local businesses and homes and is a source of joy and pride for the owners.

Serena from Sirene Sea Pearls discusses the earrings being auctioned at the Gala Night

"These pearls are the highest quality AAA grade pearls of round shape and are white with silver hues in colour. They were grown at my pearl farm located near the Torres Strait and reared by me from babies. They took three years to grow before they were seeded by one of our Australian pearl seeders.

Then they were grown at the Turtle Head pearl farm for the next two years until harvest. It takes the harvest of many pearls to find a pair that match in size, shape, quality and colour; so this pair are very special.

They have been set in 9ct rose gold French hooks for a classic look".

The night is an 18+ occasion.

Tickets for the Gala Night are $50 per person.
